So far I am very pleased with my 2023 Ford Maverick hybrid Lariat. Over the course of the first 1000 miles I am averaging 44 MPG on mostly rural roads and 2 lane highways. My 26 mile commute to work is about 50 MPG in the morning and 43 MPG in the afternoon. No city driving and no interstate driving. I ordered it 9/16/22 and took delivery 8/9/2023 for $34Kish.
This is my second Maverick. I bought a gas AWD Maverick XLT in March off the lot because I feared my hybrid would not get built. It was nice too, but not as nice as the hybrid. I lost a little money trading it in, but less than what many have paid as a dealer markup on a hybrid. I also tell myself I just rented it for 5 months while waiting for my hybrid to be built. Previous car was a 2007 Taurus with 257,000 miles that the AC had died on.
Edit to add:
This is actually my 3rd Maverick. My first car in 1984 was a 1970 Ford Maverick.
