Need a new home printer

While it may be that faxing is a lost function, the multi function machine is very useful. It’s still a scanner, copier and a printer. Without it, you’d have to use your scanner to scan a document and then print that scan, all just to make a copy. When you primary scanning is of documents (not photos) it’s nice to only have to have one machine in your office.

If you have a late model phone, there's really no need for a scanner for "scanning documents". The phone's camera works great for this.

On the iPhone you can simply open the built in Files app, select the Scan option and it will take a photo of your document (automatically finding the edges), correct it to be rectangular, then save it. This really works well.

I'm sure there is comparable functionality on Android.
