Your brilliant idea here ...

There are 2 immigrants that run a hot dog/sausage grill stand in front of HD in my area. The smell is intoxicating. Always gathers a crowd. Also there are 25-35 able bodied men right nearby waiting every morning to do a job for you. Hardly any of them speaks English but if you are looking for a good handyman and cheap food from the food stand then this is a good deal for some.

Flood the market with pictures of women who do not color their hair. Make this practice look beautiful.
Those of us who prefer not to dye our hair, would like that. Natural color can seem pretty and natural sometimes (not to mention cheaper and less hassle). Companies like Clairol don't profit as much when this sort of idea takes off, though.

I'm shy so I hid my face but this is me a few years ago (the most recent photo I have). Personally I am happy with my natural hair color and think it is the most beautiful choice in my case. Each of us who retains their natural hair color makes natural seem like a more acceptable choice. Others may prefer to color their hair; that is their choice and perfectly fine with me too!

There are some extension cords that have neon lights at the socket end, so you can see that they are 'live'.
My new Dell gaming laptop has a neon blue light where the power cord plugs into the computer, to show that it has power.

Hmmmm, maybe a fiber optic light pipe along the length would be even better? Especially for a cord draped across the floor in the dark.
That would be great! I think it would look really cool, too. :D Personally I go out of my way to not have any cords draped across the floor at all, or at least not in places where I could possibly be walking anyway. Mostly they just go a foot or two, to a wall socket. But they would look cool in neon colors even so.

A great idea, but 20 years too late! And it did not end well for the Home Depot experiment. I thought it was a neat idea, but they were never very busy.

Well, I’ll be darn. I’m shocked to read it’s already been tried. And failed! [emoji15]. Guess my brilliant ideas are not so brilliant after all. One more reason for me to remain an index investor, rather than chase my fancies.

Still, I wonder if those Fuddrucker restaurants were in the lumber section [emoji41]

Back in the late 1970's, a friend of mine and I rented a building in Wolcott, CT to house our refurbished ARL emission spectrometer. We sold metals testing as a side gig. On the property was an artesian well and we used the water and collected it in plastic gallon jugs. We remembered the floods in the area and how people would buy artesian water since the city supply was not safe.

We thought about bottling the water from the well and selling it at grocery stores. But after some more thought, we decided not to, as we didn't think anyone would buy bottled water in plastic containers unless forced into it.

Good idea gone south!

(remember, this was before the bottled water craze, which still exists today)

Many many years ago I was a truck driver. We hauled warehouse storage rack to anyone that would pay for it. Once I took some storage rack to a store where all they sold was water. I laughed to myself and thought "Who on God's green earth would ever buy a glass of water packaged in a throw away bottle?" And as Paul Harvey says . . . "Now you know the rest of the story."

Car hail protector. Attaches to bumper of car an when thunder in the area or signal from key is detected, it pumps compressed air into a air mattress that overlays the car's top to prevent hail damage. Good for people that live in apartments without covered parking, car lots, people away from home when the hail starts, etc.

Read most but not all ideas but how about a USB port that isn't upside/downside dependent. How hard can it be? Why can't you just plug it in without always getting the upside wrong?

So, such a think already exists...ok. Now, how about a transmission for cars that shifts automatically instead of using a clutch? How about that, eh?

Cemetery in Disney World!

Many of our friends and families are obsessed with going there every year and I'm sure if they have a chance they would jump on this. You could have the Goofy section or Donald Duck section, you get the idea.

The ultimate would be having your ashes shot over Cinderella's Castle!

Your relatives would visit you every year and probably more often then going to the cementery.

A number of guests wishes are to be buried at Walt Disney World. Their relatives bring their ashes to theme parks and scatter them where their dearly beloved wished to be as their final resting place.

LOL!

Disney could offer a special percentage off to the deceased family for a wake at Disney World. Or this could be a package deal that you arrange before your death. Could combine with AutoFuneral (see page 1 for details, patent pending). :)

Some of the lines are so long at Disney - I wouldn't get in line after a certain age since you could pass away while in line for the Carousel of Progress.

Domesticate human beings. Studies have shown we could breed out all aggression in just 4 generations. My back of the napkin math show that approximately 4-5 billion people will have to be eliminated as too aggressive.

A testosterone-depressant in all drinking water supplies should do the trick.

I've been wanting this for decades.

A variation:
Breed some animals--pigs maybe--with more and more human genome so that they could be harvested for their heart, liver, kidney etc for human transplant. More human genes would mitigate the rejection rate and provide an endless supply of organs.

Main sticking point: At what point is the pig more human than pig and thus an ethical problem with killing the pig.

I actually researched this many, many years ago (40+?) and the only ethical concern then was the actual worry about killing any pig (with no human genome). Part of my investigation suggested that this was already going on in the dark spaces of research outside of the US.

I have most of my usb cables marked with a silver sharpie to know which side is up.
Wait....maybe I should patent that idea.

Looks like you went to the same colorist as I. Mother nature.

Automatic turn signals. Turn wheel, directional signal lamp comes on. Since too many people do not buy the manual option.

My favorite colorist! She did a good job of picking a color that looks pretty natural with my light skin color, age, and light blue eyes.

Not only that, you can't beat the price. :)

Thanks to all who said nice things about my hair color. I feel lucky that my natural hair color turned out to be what feels right for me at this age.

Then they would just forget to keep the turn signal fluid reservoir filled up.

More seriously, to be useful the signal should activate well before you need to turn the wheel.

But we may be getting there. My car has "bending" headlights, so as I turn the steering wheel the headlights orient themselves in the same direction to illuminate the road slightly around the corner. Sounded odd at first, but I've found on lonely country roads it works really well.

Picky picky on details for signals:LOL:
Many decades ago the Citroen DS21(french car) already had that feature. Plus hydraulic height adjust. Over about 30 MPH it lowered the car for better aerodymics. Less drag due to undercar turbulence. IIRC member HA owned one.
Not having correlated headlights with steering, I mounted lights on my truck at a 45 degree off forward, pointing down about 30 degrees. Lights up ditches and things off the right side. Ditto on left. Manually switched on. Hmmm, maybe I should wire it to the tunn signals with a huge capacitor to eleiminate blinking in sync.
