#Nats#FinishTheFight!!!
Lots of bad news around DC these days. We need this to go along with the Mystics Championship.

I fell asleep in the 6th inning when the game was still 2-2. I woke up to quite a surprise this morning.

Who would have thought the Nats would be better without Bryce Harper?

Houston, we have a problem...

Not to interrupt the conversation about the Series but it looks like CHC wanted to name a manager before the Astros and Nationals settled things.

Hello (again) and welcome David Ross!

Verlander's 0-5 record in WS play is the worst in history. Since that does not jibe with his regular season performance it's probably a quirk of small sample size.

IF the Astros can pull out a win tonight, the series is far from over. One game at a time.

Or it's indicative that he wilts under the pressure. Other than his 2 starts vs. the Dodgers in the 2017 World Series (1 loss, 1 no decision) he's been lit up pretty good in the all the other WS games he's pitched in.

Losses are not a good metric to evaluate a pitcher. WHIP is better. Still, Verlander's WHIP in World Series games is terrible.

He's pretty solid in the other playoff games though, and there's plenty of pressure there too. 14-5, with WHIP less than his regular season career average.

What an odd WS... Astro's can't win at home with their best pitchers leading off. They go on the road and they win with Zack Greinke, Josh James, et al pitching.:facepalm::facepalm:

Zack was lucky the Nationals just couldn't score last night since he sure allowed enough of them (lost count) to get on base.

Credit for last nights win goes to the team, not the pitching staff.

I'm now thinking the series is going to go 7 games.

Just like the way a World Series should go .

Well on second thought, I guess it's possible... I might even believe it "after" I see how the game goes tonight... Maybe......

3 games, 3 road wins. I have no more predictions.

In a 7 game series, every game is pivotal. But tonight's game 3 could be THE pivotal game of the series.

Nats win and they have a comfy 3-1 lead.

Astros win and they take back home field and make the series a best 2 out of 3.

Agree, but I think you mean tonight's game 4, right?

Only because Clayton Kershaw hasn't had as many chances. I think his WS ERA is somewhere around 6.0. Two great pitchers who have lousy WS stats. In Kershaw's case it travels throughout the playoffs. It doesn't make sense.

I don't think this has ever happened, but has any World Series ended where all the games were won on the away team's field? The possibility exists still in this series.

I know back in 2016, the Cubs won 3 games in Cleveland, but not all 4.
