Mahomes is so good. He's only 28 and will have one more Super Bowl appearance than Brady had before 30, and could match him on wins in 2 weeks. 2 MVPs to 0 at this point. Part of Brady's legacy was no real letup in his late 30s and even 40s, with 2 SB wins after 40, but at this point Mahomes is better. Stronger arm, better mobility, and it seems to me he is every bit as good reading the field.

If your QB had a 39 rating in the first half and your team was down by two scores at the half... and you were playing at home... you might be quiet too.

Was last week's comeback win over the Packers skill or luck? I guess we'll find out in the next hour.

I really hated Brady and Manning for a lot of years but always respected their play. I don’t recall the same level of vitriol towards them that I see with Mahomes. The Chiefs were a middling to almost good team for a long time. So I’ll just enjoy this while it lasts.

Oh, and it’s looking like I’ll get my wish of a Lions rematch.

I could do with 50% fewer commercials with him, but that's not his fault. He seems to be a good guy in the community too. It didn't take me long to see he was for real on the field. I don't hate him at all. I was hoping for better from Jackson. As a dual threat he's really fun to watch.

Not many of us would be bragging about a “dynasty” before the game.

I just had to say something and jinx the Lions. Hopefully not but SF is taking advantage of their opportunities. Ah well, it’s still not bad for a ‘down year’.

They certainly been on the receiving end of a couple lucky bounces but taken advantage of them to tie the game. Entertaining for sure.

Lions need to tighten up their game to go to the Super Bowl.

Congrats to the Niners. They benefited from some lucky bounces and Detroit had way too many dropped passes. The Niners will need to play better than they did today to beat the Chiefs.

I was going to post when it happened, but going for it 4th&3 from the 30 rather than tying it with a FG was not wise, and it bit the Lions.

Welcome to being a Lions fan. It went further than I thought it would but in the end, they’re just not playing at that level. Yeah, going for it on 4th down cost Campbell a few times in the end but it’s always more than just one play or one call.

Now I just want my superbowl squares to hit.

I'm a Chiefs fan, but he's got a long way to go to catch Brady.

The Chiefs' defense is what really impressed me today.

As a 49ers fan since 1989 I am feeling emotional. This was the comeback for the ages. Only 49ers had done it before but this time they were down 17 in 2nd half. What. A. Game. What a gutsy performance by Brock Purdy but we are not done yet. 49ers were snubbed of the last SB vs Chiefs by the Refs but this time things will be different and I expect Brock Purdy to deliver again. He is MVP. MVP. MVP.

I tip my hat to Lions and their fans. You guys had a great year. Nothing to be ashamed of. Great future ahead.

I did pick the 49ers as my lock for a win.

But to be honest when score was 24-7 Lions I thought was game, set, match.
That's what I thought about the Bills back in 1993 when they were trailing the Oilers 35-3 in the playoffs. What happened next is history.

So you became a 49ers fan right after they won the Super Bowl.

That is the year I came to USA as an immigrant. It happened to be San Jose, CA.

I saw that game. Frank Reich. Fans had long left the game only to do a U turn.

Congrats to the 49ers for that comeback. The Lions aggressiveness on 4th down caught up with them. I do not really blame Campbell, as it worked for them during the season. But it gets more dangerous the better the opponent is. When the 49ers have all of their offensive weapons healthy, they are tough to stop.

Good point... the percentages of going for fourth down during the regular season are different from going for fourth down in the post season when you are playing higher caliber defenses. While it definitely changed the game for them what was much more important was the high number of dropped passes and numerous lucky bounces for the Niners... especially that 50yd completion off of the Lion defender's helmet... great play be the 49ers receiver though.

While we are talking crazy plays, how about Lamar Jackson completing a pass to himself and picking up the first down? CRAZY!

The Chiefs defender made a good tackle on him. I thought Jackson as going to get loose and go for a TD.

While I am not a big fan of either the Chiefs or Ravens, I was surprised the Ravens fell on their butt during this game. I thought it would be a higher scoring game and Jackson would have done more.
