After the game , there is a video they showed on TV of a ref making a beeline to Brady , shakes his hand and hugs him and the ref is smiling like he is one of the Patriots .

Well... not exactly... Here is the video:

Game ends, he goes up to Brady and taps him on the chest and says good game. No handshake, no hug and no smile....

Seems odd to me for a ref to walk a distance to congratulate a QB pat him on the chest , How would it look if a baseball umpire did this in the MLB American league championship in Cleveland between Cleveland and boston? Doesn't look good ...............
Big Bill and Tommy make it work , always have .

Agree. Probably nothing to it but the refs should just run off the field. Preferably with a police escort.

I suspect umpires and refs do that all the time. Had the camera followed the ref it would probably seen him congratulating others from both teams. And while I've never seen a WS, I've seen umps congratulate players and coaches in regular MLB games. Just a handshake or pat, but it's still interaction. No big deal.

Agreed.
Of course, if you isolate a single few seconds where the ref pats Brady that makes it more of a conspiracy than if you showed the 20 other seconds where he talks to the opposing team as well.

I used to play some serious organized hockey. I played goal and it was not unusual for a ref to say "nice stop" or something complimentary like that mid-game or to chat with you during a time out. Of course, one of them once said "My God you guys su*k". But no one ever thought it was improper.

I'm going with Eagles, +14 or more. Coaching and everything associated with it will be the difference.
1) Pederson is younger, and may have learned a few important things under Holmgren, Reid, etc. He is "risk on" compared to many other coaches who obviously failed to de-throne the GOAT.
2) Pederson was a backup to a few QB's you've heard of, and can instill confidence in a QB most don't believe in. Wentz is also an advisor, and I think the connection between the QBs goes beyond what is typical.
3) Pederson is someone players want to follow. They will accomplish things over their head, in order to see the team and coach succeed.

In these ways Pederson is not the hoodie guy. But it does concern me that he smiled after the last game.

Even though stats and all the rest seem to be the story, it will only be about each coach and his players executing a plan when the game starts.

The game will be called off when Lucifer arises at the 50-yard line just after the coin toss to claim Belichick's soul.
Again? How many times call he sell it?

I'll watch for the commercials. The TV will be muted as the announcers will undoubtedly be climbing all over each other to get the most words in. Are they paid by the word??

Given my username, it should be no surprise that I’m rooting for the Eagles.

Have fun guys and gals hopefully I'll be in a dive bar in Key West with no TV.

I believe the Pats will win. Why?
1. As a Cowboys fan I despise the Eagles.
2. More Importantly, Belichick is the best coach and Brady is the best quarterback.
I could be wrong about the game's outcome, but not about #+ and #2 above.

Then shouldn’t your username be “Cowboy43”?
[emoji1] I didn't think about an eagle being against the Eagles.

When I picked that username I wasn't thinking of football. If I had been, I'd have picked Staubach12 or Landry1. Oh well, the username is what it is. Still don't like the Eagles.

Did you see the fumble in the game last night ? The ref blew the whistle before Myles Jack could return it for a TD . After the game , there is a video they showed on TV of a ref making a beeline to Brady , shakes his hand and hugs him and the ref is smiling like he is one of the Patriots . I don't think the Iggles win .

That proves it. The game was obviously fixed. There's simply no other explanation.

Somehow the refs knew that it would be so close that they could simply blow the whistle on one play late in the game to ensure the Patriots would win. They knew they could let the Jags go up by 11 early just to keep it interesting.

Clearly the Super Bowl will also be fixed. We just don't know yet if the refs will have to intervene early in the fourth quarter or late. Last year the refs almost made a mistake and let the Patriots lose. Fortunately they came to their senses later on. They probably also had a two-headed coin for the overtime toss.

It's nice for the Patriots to have the refs in their pocket this way...

Here I thought you were just being sarcastic about a ref going to Brady to congratulate him after the game. Then I see that on the news. Not saying the fix is in or anything, but just seemed a bit odd that a ref would do that.

If I told you that happens in every Super Bowl (but isn't always pointed out) would that change your opinion?

A username based on Landry Jones? You probably couldn't get Landry1 (already taken). Maybe more like Landry23.

Game ends, he goes up to Brady and taps him on the chest and says good game. No handshake, no hug and no smile....

And in spite of the video's title, he wasn't actually the first to congratulate Brady.

But it makes for a better story to assume there is a conspiracy and spin things that way.

As a Bills fan....

I have Januarys free.

Can't root for the Pats, but can't bet against them. Pat's by 2.

I have no one to root for this year so I will be tuning in for the commercials and halftime show.

Ditto. I am bitter and sad. Hoping Justin Timberlake will cheer me up. :D
