Thought I'd pass this on. I've been downloading videos from hulu.com, and recording them on my DVR for convenient watching. You can of course watch them on your computer, or hook an s-video cable from your computer to your TV, but by recording them you gain the advantage of using your remote, skipping commercials, and easily rewinding and pausing.

I was surprised to find that the image quality is great.

I connected an s-video cable from my laptop to my DVR's s-video in port.

To get audio to the DVR, plug a 1/8" phone plug to RCA cable adapter

into the audio out jack on your computer, and the RCA plugs into the audio in ports on the DVR.

To learn how to get the video to appear on the TV, see this video:

Video on How to Activate the S-Video Output on a computer

This gives you a two monitor system -- your computer's monitor and the TV.

To record a video, get the movie started, slide the browser window over to the TV screen with your mouse, then click the "Full Screen" button.

Finally tell your DVR to record.

So far we've watched Fever Pitch, and I've recorded Bedazzled for tonight.
