Never tried it until 3 days ago. Missed 1st day, got it in 5 2nd, got it in 4 today. Fun!

#87 was a word I've never seen. I had to use guesses 4 & 5 to find the final 2 letters or eliminate as many letters as I could (not using hard mode), and when I found them I wasn't sure which letter went where. Luckily there were no other words that I could make with the remaining letters or I might have wasted guesses on those.

I'm not going to post on every archived quiz but the Mr. Wordle (yes, Mr. Josh Wordle did create these puzzles) must've been in a mean mood for #86 and 87.

Agreed but the spoiler yesterday claimed to have hacked the source code and now knew all the answers and posted a a couple of letters for the next days answer.
I suppose he wanted everyone to know how clever he was.

Maybe not that clever. I googled and found an article on how to hack the code and get all the words. Speaking of spoilers, DW was so excited she got it on third line, she showed it to me before I played today. Guess I could get it in one today

Wordle was becoming too easy, this ups the challenge.

Took me 5 today. This one gave me a good sense of the limitations of "Hard Mode". I had 3 greens on try 2, but there were lots of word possibilities. In hard mode, there wasn't many opportunities to eliminate letters, you just need to try words, and you might just run out before hitting 6 tries.

The challenge for me was getting one letter that was a yellow in the first try, in the correct place. moved it from the 2 spot, to the 3 spot, to the 1 spot... That made it obvious on try 4 - but I still had 2 word options that came to mind... picked the correct one..
