I messed up my fonts, now have text overlap

A few months ago I wanted to increase the size of text in newsgroups that I read.
I don't know what program I did this in, Win 10, Thunderbird or Firefox. But, I think? the change is more global, because it has affected my Newsgroups and some parts of text on some websites.


Can anyone guide me on how to fix this?


Can you suggest where I can get help?

I've tried several searches without success.
Here are two examples, first was an email from Newegg, most of it was OK, but the last paragraph looked like this.


On this second I am filling out a HSA application form on a website and everything was fine until I got to this part, I couldn't continue, because I can't read it.

What operating system are you using? Windows 7? Windows 10?

What browser do you use? Chrome? Firefox? Internet Explorer?

OP - try the browser chrome, on the same site, if it works perfectly then that points a little more towards the mozilla (firefox) being the one that changed.

I'm assuming you already when in the browser and email tried: hold down control key and press zero key. (Ctrl 0)

I can change mine in setting and fonts. Maybe I'm not getting what you need but I would go to settings and take it from there.

If you think it's the browser settings that somehow got messed up, and can't figure it out, you might just want to reload it... Quick and easy. Especially if you don't have a lot of add on's or customization done. I reload Firefox every 3 to 6 months since it seems to get confused and I don't usually feel like trying to find and fix the problem. Also keep the latest version that way.

I've been in Windows Settings- System- and made font and display size setting, but that wasn't helpful.

I don't have an answer to the question about Firefox and Thunderbird.

But about a month ago the font on my email reader (Sylpheed) changed seeming on itself and I wasn't able to change back. The font change wasn't as drastic as in your situation, but still something I will probably never know why.

OK, I tried that, font was to small for me to read.

After the ctrl-0, which results in a too small font, hit ctrl-+ (hitting the plus key while holding down the ctrl key) a few times to incrementally increase the font size in your browser.

If you are saying after doing the ctrl 0 , the font was too small, then just hold down the ctrl button and press the + button.

To see the font size and zoom settings on your browser open a new tab and paste this in without the quotes:

"about:preferences"

I had to use the code tags in this post as otherwise when a ":" and a "p" are together it turns into

I did that and went to advanced and checked the box, "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" Doing that allowed the HSA application page to display properly and, I checked my newsgroups and they display properly also. I went back to that newegg promo, it still diplays wrong, maybe Newegg got something wrong.
