What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

Watched the first season of the HBO series Succession, about an aging media mogul fighting with his family over control of the business. Interesting glimpse into how people with real money live, and fight over it.

Loosely based on Murdochs.

Great critical reception, not as widely known.

Season two in August.

That's too bad! :(

I'm an Acorn addict. Just started watching Dalziel and Pascoe this afternoon.

I love Nigel Hill's books and that series. Is that on Acorn? I thought it was now only on Brit-box?

(which I might subscribe to for a few months through Amazon Prime: $3.95/month special right now for three months and then the regular $6.95/month)

Not in the least bit new, but a couple years back I got the complete set of Hill Street Blues and am finally getting around to watching it. Of course I watched it regularly back when it aired. Really good stuff. A few things annoyingly overplayed, mainly Faye Furillo. I suspect that's because she was the wife of one of the creators and executive producers. But the rest of the show still holds up well.
Looks like I was off on Faye. Barbara Bosson was married to Bochco, but wasn't supposed to be a regular. The ABC president saw the pilot, and said "She's going to be a regular, right?" So it's his fault. She was also in Bochco's next show, Cop Rock, which was a terrible cop musical show and she was poorly cast as a judge or mayor or something.

There’s an app called “JustWatch” where you can look up a show and see what channel or network it’s on.
Finally! I have an inbox folder where I try to keep track of shows I want to see. I know I miss a bunch of them, especially missing the 1st two or three episodes on FX or AMC. Thanks.

Loved Succession, can't wait for Season 2. Also loved Big Little Lies (both seasons, just finished Season 2) on HBO.

+1+1 The backdrop of Big Little Lies is somewhat irritating, but the drama is great fun. Those houses and views, parties and clothes, definitely an escape from the real world. Of course, M. Streep is a slam dunk MIL.

Just started Years and Years on HBO. Chillingly potential reality in the near future.

You are right - Dalziel & Pascoe is on Britbox, not Acorn. I now have so many streaming services (Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Acorn and Britbox) I can't keep them straight!

I just finished an episode of D & P and about to start another.

I am becoming an Acorn addict myself - I enjoy British TV shows. Acorn seems to have a lot of Australian shows also, but they don't seem as well-made as the British ones IMHO. Just started watching Code of a Killer myself.

I recommend London Kills and The Brokenwood Mysteries on Acorn.

Just started Derry Girls, season 2. It's a comedy taking place in Ireland during "the troubles".

The accents are very thick and we miss a lot of the dialog.

I finished season 2 of Dark on Netflix, mighty confused but intrigued. Now I’m watching Another Life on Netflix.

Saw the first episode of Serengeti on the Discovery Channel Sunday night, the cinematography is spectacular, highly recommended. I believe there will be 6 episodes in the series.

This is a funny series but I had to turn on closed captioning to watch this show otherwise I missed 25% of the dialogue.

We'n getting a kick out of both Preacher and The Boys. Lots of exploding heads but the humor works well with it. Is it normal to be amused by an ear reconstruction done with foreskins?

Perfectly normal :) . I enjoy both Preacher and The Boys too.
I enjoyed Netflix's Sex Education. Good characters.

I enjoyed The Boys as well. Although some of the middle episodes were a little weak. Still, Amazon threw a bunch of money at it and it shows.

Great acting as well. I like Karl Urban in just about anything though. And man does that Quaid kid look like his father when he smiles.

I love that series—it has some surprising depth to it—and we keep closed captioning on while watching it as the accents are not helped by our TV’s crappy sound.

We’re catching up with season 2 of Alan Cumming’s Instinct on CBS (yes, a network!) with our cable company’s on-demand. Probably won’t be back imo but enjoyable.

And Grantchester has a new vicar, played by Tom Brittney, this season, not as hot as James Norton but he’ll do.

And have polished off season 2 of Big Little Lies. Meh in spite of Meryl Streep imo. No need for a season 3.

I'm not enjoying it as much as the comics, was hoping it picks up in the middle, I'm only three episodes in so far, now I guess I hope it picks up at the end! :)

We watched The Act on Hulu recently. It was deeply disturbing. Very good, but quite traumatizing.

I looked at the synopsis on Hulu and thought why would I want to watch that..I'm happy I passed it by.
