What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

DW and I are hooked on Schitt's Creek, a Netflix show. We think its historical....

It's actually a Canadian show that originated on CBC. The new episodes run (last season is on now) in the states on the POP network. The older shows are on Netflix.

I am happy to see that Curb Your Enthusiasm is back. Larry David is making a fool of himself and making up for lost time (last season was in 2017).

Amazon video: Cruising the Cut. Great series about cruising the canals of Britain in a 56 foot long boat.

Not sure how many will be interested but I loved the canal boat show. Last year DW & I rented a canal boat on the Brecon canal in Wales. I had rented canal boats 30 years before and even earlier when a student. So I love the canal experience. Saw the first two episodes, look like he is going solo, even 2 is a small crew to handle a long boat, I know people solo them but that wouldn't be my 'cuppa of tea'.

"Thou Shalt Not Kill" which we get through Passport via our local PBS station. It's an Italian police procedural, similar in some ways to many of the British detective shows. 'Cept it's in Italian with English subtitles. Have just watched one episode but it looks like a keeper.

Line of Duty on Hulu.

Riveting British police drama about officers investigating corruption in the force.

I am currently watching The Witcher. Henry is a gamer, a nerd, ripped af and handsome. The fact that he cares so much about the subject matter makes him literally the best person in the world to play this part

i was in bed all week with the flu and watched the first two seasons of star trek discovery on cbs - really good!

I hesitated to make such a long post, but there really are some quality shows out there if you can find them. Some have already been mentioned below:

1) The Americans - what a fantastic show. I assume you lived through the cold war, you should like spy show

Saw this when it was on its original run on FX. Excellent way to relive the 80's and the cold war. Will watch the whole thing again on Amazon Prime, it's that good.

10) Imposters - Gotta say, I really liked the first season and am hopeful for the second. About a female con artist

OMG. This was fantastic! I watched it because you had recommended it and many of the other shows you listed I had enjoyed. I just got done with S1 and will watch S2 very soon. One of the few shows I've watched that surprised me with plot twists. About a female con artist who marries people, steals all their money, then disappears. Oh, and dares them to try to find her.

13) White Collar - a con man/ art thief is busted by the FBI. He starts helping them solve cases (but is he really)

Am currently working my way through S1. I am enjoying it, but not as much as Imposters. The two leads have good chemistry. The concept for the show shares a lot with Blacklist, in that a criminal is helping the FBI solve crimes but has his own agenda on the side. The cases in White Collar are not as compelling as the cases in Blacklist, though.

Wow, I had no idea that was Henry Cavill!

I recently broke down and subscribed to CBS, REALLY like the new Star Trek. It is every bit as good as STNG was when it first came out.

Haven't started Picard yet, but looking forward to it.

We've been watching Anne with an E on Netflix. It's just Anne of Green Gables (again), but really well done and even though it's modernized PC-wise, it's pretty enjoyable. DW's addicted to it, and often ends the evening as a soggy but smiling mess. I've leaked a tear or two myself. The girl who plays Anne did an excellent job. Sadly, because Netflix and the CBC got into an argument they stopped after three seasons. And we're almost finished with it.

We've also been watching Star Trek Discovery and really enjoying that too. We'll start Picard soon.

We've tried twice to get into The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but it just hasn't clicked. As DW pointed out, all the characters are the same person. I've seen a lot of positive comments about it. What am I missing?

I was told that ST:picard wouldn't hit its stride until the 3rd episode. So far that has held true. It has been somewhat boring up until the end of E3 when the "team" is finally assembled. Now, we can get on with things... I hope.

I thought the first two seasons of "Anne with an E" were among the best shows ever. Season 3 (and final one), however, ended up on the other end of that scale.

My experience with "TMMM" is identical to yours.

I have just finished watching the Stranger on Netflix. It was very good, as you would expect from a British detective show.

I’m in the middle of it and liking it so far.
