What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

I've been watching Season 6 of Netflix's Selling Sunset. Summary: underdeveloped minds inside overdeveloped bodies selling overpriced real estate. :D I fast-forward through all of the silly adolescent cat fights and peek at the high-end properties. I don't want or need a house with 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, but to each their own.

I finished season one of The Recruit on Netflix last night.

It was entertaining - not great art, but a fun ride with some humor and a few twists and turns. Given the cliffhanger ending, I'm looking forward to season two.

Finished the last season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Fast-moving comedy, very well written. It takes you back to the 1950s to the present day in the life of a female comedian trying to make it big.

I just finished The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel today as well. This is easily one of my all time favorite series ranking up there with Breaking Bad and The Sopranos.
Very well written and the cast is great.

We watched Citidel last night - All Episodes, it is nowhere near as bad as some folks here implied. It was fine and pretty much up to the standard of any US FBI/CIA Series.

I agree they are not that brilliant, certainly not up to the standard of any European or British series with the same subject matter. But it is watchable as are others like FBI etc. In our household they are all about the same entertainment level of entertainment value, good to keep on the back burner for slow TV days.

There are a few other shows like this (From an Entertianment perspective not content not similar subject matter). Here ar some examples.

The Equalizer
SWAT
FBI
Now Citadel
CSI
Bones

We keep them on hand for the slow TV days as mentioned previously. Certainly not throw aways.

I watched the series finale of Succession last night.
Thought it ended appropriately.
Really liked the series.
Great acting.

We just finished S1 of The Diplomat (Netflix). We thoroughly enjoyed it! Both the writing and acting were very good. Just the right mix of drama, thriller and humor. We are eagerly awaiting S2.

Just finished Treason (Netflix). This was a 5-epi British limited series meaning no further seasons. We enjoyed it but not as much as The Diplomat (Netflix). A little slow in places but overall worth your time.

+1

We liked it so much that we’ve started Keri Russell’s previous series “The Americans” on Hulu. Enjoying that one, too.

Probably one of the best series ending episodes I can remember. Very well done.

I watched "Still", a 90 minute documentary on Apple TV+. Michael J Fox created this autobiography that covers his entire career and illness. Rather than a traditional interview with just a few video clips thrown in, there was video to tell a large part of the story as he narrated, along with an interview. The videos really helped and gave context to how young he was at the time of events. Not a spoiler, but an example, is he met his wife Tracy Pollan on Family Ties, where she played his girlfriend. Instead of an interview that just says they met there, video clips from an episode or between takes lets you see them at the ages they were when they first met.

It was definitely worth my time to watch this documentary.

You're just starting the series. This article explains factual information that takes place between the CIA, FBI, and Russian agents. It doesn't give away plots or episodes in the series but depicts that much of this series is based on truth.

I almost stopped watching the Americans because I thought it was so far fetched. I don’t mind far fetched if I’m watching sci fi/horror/supernatural shows but they expected me to believe this spy stuff?
Then my son told me it was based on a true story. I was hooked after that.

Thanks for the hint. I re-activated my HBO (now Max) account to watch season 4. The succession struggle in season 4 episode 1 (over ownership) isn't as nearly as interesting as the real-life succession struggle I'm dealing with now in my own family. When a person has a minority ownership share but plays a major role in the company, such as in operations or sales, then the power dynamics become even more complex. It's too bad that my family's biz is too small to permit us to fly around in choppers and private jets. :D

Just a reminder to all to avoid revealing anything about a series that others might not know from the trailer.

And that links to articles will almost always include spoilers as well.

We just watched the first four episodes of Deadloch on prime. It's about two detectives in a small Tasmanian town. There are 8 episodes but not all of them are out. (2 more will drop in a week and the last two at the end of the month. )

Quirky characters, potty mouth language, but very funny with a decent murder mystery to boot.

I binged the first 6 episodes of "Class of '09". There will be 8 episodes with the finale on June 21st. It is an FBI based show. I like it overall but it has one thing that I really don't like. It goes back and forth in time over and over again even worse than some other shows. I don't like that general concept but the show is good despite that, just a little hard to follow for me.

Just finished Tehran on Apple. Two seasons about a Mossad agent in Iran and the Iranian counterparts. Intense and kept my attention. So glad to be born and living in the USA.

Watched the first episode of Fubar with Arnold Schwartzenegger on Netlix. It was funny and full of action. Made me think of a TV version of True Lies.

Well I guess I’m getting burned out so I’m going to let several streaming channels go in September when my discounts expire.

I did watch Marriage on PBS, and the verdict- extremely boring. I watched it while cooking so I didn’t really care.
