Losing my whump
For about three months the 'performance' tab on the vanguard web site has told me that its temporarily unable to process the request and to try again later.

I emailed them last month and they said it was a problem "for certain customers" and that it would be resolved "shortly".

Still not working a month later. I know whats what in my head, but I sorta miss the pretty charts and whatnot.

Anyone else having this same problem get a better answer out of them as to the difficulties? I sent another email, but...

You must be recongized by Vanguard as a truly exceptional person who should be sinlged out for "special" treatment.;).
The tab works fine for me--just tried.
Not sure how useful it is since the graph does not adjust for new cash--which the schedule does.

I used to be unable to view the Growth of $10,000 graph. IIRC, it worked sometimes depending on how I logged in. Don't remember more.

Works fine for me.

So I'm a "certain" customer. Wonder what that means... ::) :p

You get the bimbo's with the balloons and goofy guy with the oversize 10 million dollar check.

Wear your good clothes and look surprised/happy when they start the videotape.

Pssst - hold out for royalties when they want to use it for advertising.

heh heh heh - :D

P.S. I always blame it on the cable company but in my case it's usually the viop phone.

"Thank you for your e-mail inquiry. We do apologize for the issue you are
experiencing with the Performance tab on your Vanguard.com account and the
length of time this issue has taken to resolve.

At this time, a resolution for this issue has been identified and is
currently being tested to make sure it will resolve the problem completely.
As soon as the testing has been completed, the fix will be put in place on
Vanguard.com and the Performance section should once again be working
correctly. Unfortunately, we do not have an exact time frame as to when
testing will be completed, but we are doing our best to finish testing as
soon as possible. We again apologize for the delay as well as any
inconvenience this has caused you, and greatly appreciate your patience
with us while we resolve this issue."

So maybe its just me!

Look on the bright side - - maybe your portfolio is SO big, that the Performance Tab software gagged! :2funny:

Mine looks like a stairstep, due to additions to my accounts this spring. It is pretty much useless for me. It does say that I have only lost 4.3% this year, or was it in the past year? I don't recall. Oh well, either way seems better than I had thought. :D

Gosh, it makes me blush when a pretty woman talks about my big porfolio... >:D

After some further thought it occurred to me that it threw the rod right after I bought some of them there managed payout funds.

Maybe their performance code couldnt figure out how to incorporate those...?

Hey, for all you know I look like Lyndon B. Johnson! :2funny:

I guess it could be your managed payout funds. They are really new.

Eh, I'm pretty sure you look better than LBJ. He's been dead for 35 years after all.

It took them about a month to sort out what was in the MP funds for the purposes of reporting the stock/bond/cash allocations in the pretty pie charts.

There isn't a performance tab on my opening screen. I'm not sure what I'd do if there was one. The only thing I can change going forward is my asset allocation so that is all I look at.
