Well, I am the results of the 'summer of 69'! I gather many of you remember it fondly ::)

(36 - turning 37 next month) Working on FIRE April 2020...or depending on what life brings in the next few years....April 2025 Woooohoooo!!

I do plan to enjoy these years officially full time employed, but that light at the end of this tunnel is getting brighter!

I'll be 59 in a few months. This is the greatest board around that I've seen for retirement. I really wish there was a good source of feedback from the 65 to 80 year olds. At a younger age the focus is on savings. It would be interesting to here stories from individuals with a long history of withdrawals.

If enough of us stick around (both on the forum and above ground ;)) for a while, we'll be able to provide some feedback. But for now there are darn few of us here over 65 as the poll reflects. Maybe the "early" retirement moniker scares them off? Or maybe they are just getting on with living and not futzing around with this new-fangled internet stuff.

We are both 54.

First ER was at age 50; next one will be in a couple of months. Don't know if I will stay forever unemployed but I am willing to give it a shot. :D

I turned sixty last month. Semi-retired at age 55, fully retired at age 57.

Grumpy

I'm 59. Semi-retired myself two years ago, went back to work full-time this year for a couple of years just because I wanted to. Still plan to retire fully in summer of '08 when I will be 61.
