What new series are you watching? *No Spoilers, Please*

Lincoln Lawyer season 2 is now on Netflix. Now to choose between that, Deadloch, The English. They all look good.

I'm half way thru Deadloch. I would say it is not one of the better shows I have seen lately but if you have an extra 8+ hours to burn it could be worth a watch. Lincoln Lawyer is on my list but may not get to it for a while.

Watched "Black Adder The Forgotten Pilot" partial documentary, for any Black Adder fans it is a must. Narrated by Baldrick (Sir Tony Robinson).

Watched first episode last night. Similar to first season.

If you like Bob Odenkirk, Nobody movie is on Netflix.

Watched it on Prime last night. The acting and writing for this movie was extremely well done, although somewhat of a stretch. 2 Thumbs up!

Other than Top Gun, I enjoy Netflix more than anything Hollywood produces.

Oh, I might start back Netflix for LL and I think there is a new season of Black Mirror.

Deadloch was too weird for me. I liked the main actress, she was in Rake, which we really liked. She is still good in Deadloch but the other characters seem like they are in a different show, they are all acting like Jack Black or Mike Myers.

I started with episode 1 of DI Ray. It’s a typical British mystery detective show. The main character is a young female detective who is bright and has the added benefit of checking off a few boxes that the upper echo longs need checked off. A murder brings on the Romeo and Juliet plot since the murder victim was the boyfriend of a gal from the ‘wrong’ type of people.

Not great but it promises to be an interesting mystery.

I record it OTA from our local PBS station. Or it can be rented on Prime. I prefer free OTA.

I've started watching Beachfront Bargain Hunt on HBO (Max). I thought that all beachfront property is expensive, but this show suggests that this isn't true. I have no interest living right on the coast in a hurricane-prone area, but other folks are less risk-averse. For example, who wants to live in a sub-$250k stick-built shack on Galveston Island? Not me. :nonono: :hide:

Black Adder is one of my all time favorites. Where is the Forgotten Pilot located?

Cheers!

I started "Quarterback" on Netflix. What great access behind of the scenes of 3 very different quarterbacks in the NFL. It follows Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins through the '22 season. Netflix does these sports documentaries very well.

Watched on Prime as well, could not find it on Netflix. It was pretty much like a John Wick movie, only Odenkirk is older and a less believable tough guy compared to Keneau Reeves.

Thanks to everyone who has mentioned Acorn series! I've been able to locate few on the Hoopla app from my library: Recipes for Love & Murder, Darby & Joan, Under the Vines, Manhunt (and still searching for more).

I just finished Colombian telenovela on Netflix: “Fake Profile”. It’s insanely nonsensical and ridiculously entertaining IF you let yourself go on a ride.

Just stumbled on Fubar (Netflix) with Arnold S as a retired CIA officer pulled back into service. Has much the same feel as True Lies. S1 has 8 epis. Very enjoyable.

Just finished watching the very last episode of Endeavour on PBS. I’m sad the series has ended. Perhaps they’ll keep the franchise going with Hathaway.

If you liked that series, you might like "Girl from Nowhere" on Netflix. Very unique. Warning: It's a crazy show. Perhaps something not cut out for retirees

I liked it a lot. Some might not.

Watched: "A Mother's Son", interesting twist on a British police procedural. Currently watching Season 2 of "Before You Die" another British Police procedural again with a twist, it appears to be a follow up from Season 1.

Also watched "Based on a True Story" with Penny from Big Bang, somewhat acceptable comedy similar concept to Only Murders in the Building.

We just finished Seasons 1 & 2 of Acapulco, a rags-to-riches story of a young mexican boy. Season 3 is still in the works. We just love this series! Heartwarming and funny - can't tell you how many times we laughed! It's set primarily in 1984 so lots of flashbacks to that era. It's also bilingual so it's helping us work on our Spanish.

We're finally watching Yellowstone. We visited Big Sky, Montana last year. This series makes me sad.

Sounds interesting, but I don't have Apple TV. I might have to drop something (Netflix) and add that in. I've been wanting to watch Ted Lasso. I've seen everything on Netflix, plus they've pissed me off with their new password sharing rules.

Apple TV has good content. I need to get back to Acapulco. I’m in the second season of Ted Lasso and really enjoyed the first season (it was a rare binge on my part). Well worth watching.

I also enjoyed Silo, Severance, For All Mankind, Slow Horses, and Black Bird. And I’m sure there are others that I’m missing.

I’m looking forward to Hijack. I usually don’t start watching a series until they are all released and Apple releases a new episode once a week.
