Went to the hospital today, got a couple of x-rays done to try to determine what's causing me to have groin pain whenever I'm on my feet. Came back home and picked up DW and took her in for some lab work. When she came out the car wouldn't start. Definitely dead battery, for some reason. Luckily I have a major set of jumper cables. Unluckily, they were at home, in my garage. We waited an hour for AAA to come, but then a nice older lady gave us a jump. Canceled AAA, drove home, and put the trickle charger on the battery. Then went inside and ordered a power pack/battery charger from Amazon. This is the third or fourth time the battery in this car has died. I can't figure out why. I used to camp and play music on my old 2004 Highlander battery, and it started right up the next day. I suspect these newer cars have a lot of things pulling on the battery, even when it's turned off. Just my WAG.
