Gave a power red blood donation at the local Red Cross this morning. They are short staffed like so many other places, so the entire process from location entry to exit took twice as long as usual. But no worries or my part, it is for a good cause, and I am retired, no need to rush anywhere
It helped that my ego was fed while there. After I had been waiting for about 30 minutes, the receptionist came over and asked if I was military. I said, no, I was never brave enough for that. She replied "well, you are certainly keeping the build for it". Ooh la la, vanity, thy name is jollystomper. Of course, it may have been a ploy to keep my mind off of how long the process was taking - and it did work
. After I was finished, during the 15 minute wait time, she came over a couple of times to see how I was doing, and did not run away screaming seeing my face without a mask

The afternoon and evening was spent being IT support in prepping for and helping DW with a Zoom talk she had done for a local organization that some of her friends and our fellow alumni were interested to hear. We ended up with over 20 folks on the Zoom session, from 3 continents, and though planned for an hour it went almost 2, as some of the folks knew each but had not seen each other (or us) for years.
